AUSTRALIANS ARRIVING FROM INDIA COULD FACE 5 YEARS JAIL AND FINE

Sydney:- Government officials said that Australian citizens and residents who were in India with in 14 days of plan to return home will be banned from entering Australia as of Monday. Who won't follow these restrictions will face fine and 5 years of imprisonment.

These restrictions were taken due to high spike in covid-19 cases and deaths in India due to the second covid-19 wave. These were taken as precautionary measures.

"These measures came into force from May 3 if anyone neglecte this traveling ban risks civil penalties and 5 years of imprisonment " health minister Greg Hunt said in a statement . Hunt said that government didn't make this decision slightly. Hunt also said that the government will reconsider these restrictions on May 15.

These restrictions on traveling create huge problems to travelers. Due to vise problems stay problems and many more. Due to high covid-19 cases and deaths in India make many countries in the world to raise a travel ban on India so many countries had kept the ban and now Australia had also banned the travel . The new variant of covid-19 created these issues to India.

Indias coronavirus deaths crossed 200k mark and still counting. Some foreign reports says India is hiding actual deaths and showing the fake numbers. The cases also close to 20M . And the shortage of beds and oxygen is another problem to India. This is the worst situation India can face but few scholars are saying that peak will be in mid May . If this situation continues till long then India could be the worse hit country due to covid-19.
