Deputy prime minister of India.

India don't have any vice minister for now .This post is given by the elected government when there is two strong candidates for PM race.

Vice prime minister is also known as deputy prime minister. India's first deputy prime minister was Sardar Vallabhai Patel. From the year 1947 to 1950.

This deputy prime minister post is non constitutional post it is not compulsory for the government to appoint deputy prime minister. The last deputy prime minister was L.K Advani. After then from 2004 there is no deputy prime minister in India. There is no deputy prime minister in India now. 

We may think what if president is not present who will take the position of president it will be taken the cabinet ministers. Mostly it will be a home minister will take the next to president.
