But the modern mother's day was started in the year 1908 by Anna Jarvis at St. Andrew's Methodist church in west Virginia to honor her mother Ann Reeves Jarvis who was a peace activist and served many solider who were injured in American civil war. Taking the work further she started Mother's day work club.

Ann Reeves Jarvis in year 1905 she passed away.  Her daughter Anna Jarvis started a campaign to celebrate mother's day and it should be a holiday on which all children get some time to spend some time with their mothers. But in the year 1908 US Congress rejected the proposal of mother's day. But in the year 1914 the pact was officially signed by Woodrow Wilson and announced that 2nd Sunday of May announced as mother's day.

From that day we celebrate mother's day on 2nd Sunday of May.

How much busy we may are but we must give some time to our mother in our life  . Who given her hold life to you and the most loving and caring person in the world is your mother. Don't neglect her  please.

The most purest form of love in the world is love of our parents don't neglect them.  You will also be parents in the near future.

Once again happy mother's day.
